2008 Spring Schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois volleyball team will open the spring season this weekend at Indiana. The Hoosiers host an eight-team spring tournament this Saturday inside University Gym.

There will be a pool play format with two pools of four playing a round robin. Once the round robin is complete, there will also be a cross-pool match with opponents being matched up based on their finish in the pool standings (Pool A winner vs. Pool B winner, etc.).

Pool A consists of Butler, Chicago State, Indianapolis and Indiana State while Pool B is made up of Indiana, IUPUI, Louisville and Southern Illinois.

The Salukis will also play in two more tournaments this spring. April 12, SIU will travel to SEMO before hosting their annual spring tournament April 19. The SIU Spring Tournament will consist of 12 teams in three pools, all games being played in Davies Gym.
