Hill came to SIU as a hurdler but switched to throws last year after taking her sophomore year off. She only competed in one outdoor meet last year due to injury. Hill could perform in multiple events for the Salukis.

East St. Louis HS: Hill placed fifth her senior year in the 100m hurdles at the Class AA state championship. Her junior year she reigned as the sectional champ in the 100m hurdles. She lettered three years.
