Expected to step in and be a strong distance runner for the Salukis. Established herself as SIU’s No. 3 cross country runner in her freshman campaign. Opened her college career in strong fashion by placing 11th (14:52) at the 2001 Saluki Fast Start Open, helping SIU tie for first. Added a 27th-place showing in the Saluki Invitational (20:42) in 6K.

Olentangy H.S.: Was a four-time state qualifier in high school and an all-state selection as a freshman. Was also a two-time conference champion in cross country and a three-time qualifier in the 1,600m.
