CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University women's tennis team hosted the SIU Annual Law School Tournament Friday, March 28. The tournament was started by former SIU tennis coach, Judy Auld, as a fundraiser for the women's tennis team.

The tournament was open to all SIU law students, faculty, alumni and friends. The women's tennis team held a clinic at 2 p.m. for the participants, followed by a "Fastest Serve" contest. Doubles competition began at 3 p.m., with the top four players advancing to the final round to compete for prizes.

"This was a great event and it was nice to see the team getting involved with this group of tennis players and helping them with their tennis skills," said head coach Audra Nothwehr. "We hope to do this fundraiser every year and hope to get more people involved."

Entry fees and raffle donations went to the SIU Women's Tennis team foundation.
