DAYTON, Ohio - The Southern Illinois University women's tennis team won their second straight match of the regular season Sunday. The Salukis defeated Wright State 5-2, improving to a 2-0 record.

"Sabine had a lot of patience," said head coach Audra Nothwher. "She was down by three points in the tiebreaker, then came back to tie it up and won the match."

In doubles action, the Salukis took all three matches to capture the point. At No. 1 Tsala teamed up with Jessica Flannery to take the win over Christina Ames and Kenesha Webb, 8-2. Ce and Cruise took the court at No.2, grabbing an 8-4 win over Lee and Garrett. Amanda Taillefer and Andrea Courtney played at No. 3 doubles, defeating Presti and Kelly Lybook 8-4.

"We were really strong at doubles, and solid all the way around," Nothwher said. "But we still have a long way to go."
