CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois softball series at Drake, which was trimmed down to a doubleheader due to bad weather, has now been cancelled due to snow in the Des Moines, Iowa area, and will not be made up.

The Salukis and Bulldogs' three-game series was first reduced to two games, but spring snow has made the field unplayable for Sunday's scheduled doubleheader.

Southern Illinois, currently on a season-long eight-game win streak after coming off a road win this past Wednesday at Evansville, 2-0, will play its next seven games at home.

SIU will finish up its season series at home against Evansville for a weekday doubleheader this Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 4 p.m. at Charlotte West Stadium.
