CARBONDALE, Ill. - With a constant line of heavy showers and thunderstorms expected to continue all day, the Southern Illinois softball game this afternoon at Charlotte West Stadium against Southeast Missouri State has been cancelled, and will not be rescheduled.

The Salukis will continue play in the Missouri Valley Conference with a three -game series at Wichita State March 21-22. The series will open with a doubleheader on Friday, March 21 beginning at 4 p.m., followed by a single-game on Saturday at noon.

Southern Illinois is 3-0 in the MVC after sweeping its conference-opening series last weekend against Northern Iowa, while the Shockers are 1-2 after losing two out of three to Bradley to begin conference play.
