ST. LOUIS - Kate Laegeler, a senior from Decatur, Ill., won the 36-hole Saluki Invitational. The Salukis hosted the 15th annual event last weekend, finishing 4th of 15 behind Drake, Ball State, and Bradley.

Laegeler took home the individual title after leading all 92 golfers with a 152 (74-78). She held the first-place spot through both rounds of the 36-hold tournament. Her 74 in the first round ties her all-time personal low score.

Other top MVC finishers at the tournament included Olivia Lansing, Drake (2nd), Amanda Vogt, Drake (t3rd), Breanne Smith, Indiana State (t3rd), and Kelly Amundrud, Bradley (t3rd).

The Salukis will be back in action April 11-12 as they travel to Richmond, Ky. to compete in the Lady Colonel Classic.
