Women's Golf in seventh after day one of Pat Bradley

FORT MEYERS, Fla. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team began its final tournament of the fall season today at the Pat Bradley Championship in Fort Meyers, Fla. The Salukis finished the day in seventh place after shooting a team total of 619 (303-316). SIU's low scorer was Kelly Gerlach, who finished tied for 17th with a 153 (78-75). Christine Zoerlein finished in a tie for 23rd with a 154 (75-79). Braidy Hood and Lauren May tied for 27th with totals of 156. Kate Laegeler rounded out the Salukis' scoring with a 166 (80-86), tying her for 54th place. The Salukis will look to move up tomorrow when the final round of the tournament is played. "Our goal is still to break 300, so we hope it happens tomorrow because we need to break 300 one time this fall," said head coach Diane Daugherty. "We can move up and that's what we want to do."
