Women's Golf finishes in sixth at Legends

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team moved up on spot from seventh to finish sixth out of 13 teams at the Shoot-out at the Legends tournament. The Salukis shot a team total of 310, bringing their final team score to a 925, on day three of the tournament. Christine Zoerlein was SIU's top finisher with a 221 (71-72-78) over the three-round tournament. Zoerlein finished in third at the event, which was held at the par 72, 6,356-yard Legends Golf Course. Following Zoerlein was Braidy Hood, who posted a 234 (79-80-75) to finish in a tie for 27th place. Kelly Gerlach finished tied for 29th with her 235 (77-76-82). Danielle Kaufman shot a 239 (80-80-79) and tied for 38th in her first tournament as a Saluki. Lauren May finished in 57th with a total of 245 (82-85-78), while Alex Anderson posted a 255 (84-86-85) to finish in a tie for 72nd. The Salukis will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 24 at the 30th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational in Fort Meyers, Fla. Individual Scores:
