CARBONDALE, Ill. - Senior guard Erica Smith was one of 11 student-athletes named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Women's Basketball Team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Smith, who carries a 3.73 GPA in business management and marketing, garnered second-team honors. The senior has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference scholar-athlete team in 2007 and 2008.

A native of Florissant, Mo., Smith currently leads the team in scoring (13.0 ppg), assists (3.1 apg) and steals (1.8 spg), second on the team in rebounds (6.1 rpg). She currently ranks fifth in career 3-point percentage (.364), seventh in career steals (150) and 26th all-time in scoring (813 points).
