Megan Lanham is in her second season as the associate head coach at Southern Illinois. Prior to taking the position with the Salukis, Lanham spent eight seasons with Indiana State, six years as the recruiting coordinator.

"Megan is highly respected in the MVC and surrounding regions," said head coach Dana Eikenberg. "Her recruiting ability, and excellent knowledge have been valuable to SIU. Megan's passion for the game will flow well with our current guard group because of their work eithic and common desires to compete."

Under Lanham's tutelage, the Sycamores recorded a school-record 27 victories and dominated the Missouri Valley Conference with a 16-2 record and the program's first-ever outright MVC championship in 2006.

Not only did the team enjoy unprecedented success on the court, but in the classroom as well. As a team Indiana State has won the WBCA Academic Excellence Award twice in the past three seasons, including a first place finish in both 2005 & 2003. Last season, ISU's team GPA of 3.602 led the nation.

As an assistant coach in 2002-03, Lanham was instrumental in the Sycamores' capturing of their first ever regular season Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

Working as an assistant coach during the 2001-02 season the Sycamore backcourt set school records for three-point field goals made and attempted in a season.

Lanham was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a 2002 class member.

Prior to ISU, Lanham spent one season each as an assistant coach at Loyola University of Chicago and Manhattan College. She began her coaching career at Illinois Central College in 1996-97. While at Illinois Central, the team finished third (1996) and fourth (1997) in the nation. As the point guard at ICC from 1992-93, Lanham helped the team to back-to-back national championships.

A native of Sheffield, Ill., Lanham received her master's degree in communications in 2001 from Indiana State. She graduated with a B.S. in education in 1996 from Winona State.
