At SIU: Had three top-10 finishes in the long jump in 2003...highest indoor finish was fourth at the McDonald's Invitational with a jump of 22-04.25...did not post any marks during the outdoor season.

Pre-SIU: All-conference pick as a freshman and senior at Springfield High School...placed at sectionals in each of his four prep years...was City Champion in the long jump as both a junior and senior...100-meter dash champion as a senior.
