CARBONDALE, Ill.-Southern Illinois University moved to fifth in both the Sports Network and Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Polls this week. It's the highest the Salukis have been ranked this season.

SIU (8-1), which is pushing for its fifth consecutive FCS Playoff berth, ranks behind Northern Iowa (9-0), North Dakota State (9-0), Montana (9-0) and McNeese State (9-0) in both polls.

The Dawgs have ranked among the top-10 in either of the two polls for 10-straight weeks.

SIU hosts Illinois State in its final home game of the regular season Saturday at 1:30 p.m., CST.
