CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University (28-21) plays its final midweek game of the regular-season when it faces Saint Louis (23-26) in a wood bat game Tuesday. First pitch is set for 7 p.m., CST, at GCS Ballpark in Sauget.

SIU is a perfect 5-0 in wood bat games against SLU. Both teams started playing each other in Sauget back in 2003.

The Salukis won three of their last four games and recently clinched their seventh consecutive trip to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

SLU won five of its last eight games and plays its eighth game in a row away from home against the Salukis Tuesday.

Righthander Andrew Dunn (2-5) will start on the mound for the Dawgs.

The SIU Alumni Association will host a pre-game picnic at 6:30 p.m. Buffet menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, side dishes and refreshments. A cash bar will also be available.

Cost is $15 per Alumni Association Member (picnic & game ticket) and $19 per Non-Member (picnic & game ticket). Tickets can be picked up at the table outside of the GCS Ballpark's will-call window.
