TOLUCA, Mexico - Southern Illinois track and field athlete Bianca Stuart wrapped up her summer competition with a third-place finish at the 2008 North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Under 23 Track & Field Championships July 18-20.

The senior long jumper finished with a final leap of 20-10.75 (6.37m) good for third place and the bronze medal.

Stuart, a five-time Missouri Valley Conference champion, finished seventh at the NCAA Championships in June and won the long jump at the Bahamas Olympic Trials and the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games this summer, but failed to qualify for the Olympic games in August because she did not reach the set Olympic qualifying standard of 6.60 meters.
