CALI, Columbia - Southern Illinois jumper Bianca Stuart finished first in the long jump at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games July 4-6.

The Saluki senior jumped 21-05.50 (6.54m) to win the CAC meet title and take the gold medal. Her title does not qualify her for the Bahamas Olympic Team, but she has until July 18 to qualify for the team by jumping the set Olympic qualifying standard of 6.60 meters.

She will try again at the NACAC (North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association) under 23 Championships in Toluca, Mexico, July 18-20.
