Track and Fields teams in fourth after day two of MVC Championships

Saturday Results in PDF Format DES MOINES, Iowa - The Southern Illinois track and field teams picked up three all-conference honors, including one meet title Saturday at Drake Stadium at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championships. Both teams are in fourth place after two days of competition. Bianca Stuart won the women's long jump with a career-best leap of 20-07. In the discus, Brittany Riley picked up her second all-conference honor in as many days, throwing 166-04 for second place. A'Seret Dokubo finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:56.76 for all-MVC honors. Others scoring points for the Salukis include a fifth-place finish in the discus for Sasha Leeth with a toss of 136-02. For the men, Jason Ordway ran 9:32.07 for sixth place in the steeplechase. Matthew Rives and Brenton Siemons each picked up seventh place finishes. Rives scored 6181 points in the decathlon, while Siemons threw 155-00 in the discus. Trenton McKinney also finished eighth in the long jump with a final leap of 22-11. Six athletes advanced to Sunday's finals in seven events. Andrea Norris will enter the finals in the 100 and 200 dashes with the top time in the 200. Ty Davis and Katie Ringelestein both made the finals in the 800, while Kendra Deck will run in the 400 hurdle final.
