AMES, Iowa - Southern Illinois junior thrower Brittany Riley won the weight throw for the fifth consecutive time at the Iowa State Classic this weekend.

A native of Flossmoor, Riley took the event on her last throw. Her toss of 79-04.50 (24.19m) set both a new meet and Lied Recreational Center record. Riley finished first out of 48 competitors.

Other notable performances on the weekend, included Bianca Stuart placing among the top-two finishers in the long jump for the second time in a row. Stuart's jump of 19-08.25 (6.00m) put her at second only to Purdue's Leah Kincaid (20-01.75, 6.14m).

On the men's side, Mohamed Mohamed set a new career-best en route to a sixth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run. Mohamed's time of 14:38.91 surpassed his previous personal mark of 14:44.63, which also came at the Iowa State Classic (Feb. 11-12, 2006).

Antwon Stapleton also posted a top-10 finish for the Dawgs in the triple jump. He was seventh with a 49-01.75 (14.98m) mark.
