At SIU:

Was named all-conference after finishing third in the shot put at the 2006 MVC Indoor Championships...finished among the top-six in the shot put and hammer at the MVC Outdoor meet...qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional Outdoor Championships, where he placed 20th in the hammer...finished the season with 18 top-10 finishes in 15 meets.

Pre-SIU:

Illinois state shot put champion as a senior at Jacobs High School...also competed at state meet in the shot put as a sophomore and junior...best prep mark in the shot was 61-8...shot put or hammer champion in three meets at Mississippi State...recorded personal bests of 56-2 in the shot and 187 in the hammer at Mississippi State.
