Dan Digman is in his second season coaching the Saluki pole vaulters.

Digman, a Wadsworth, Ohio native, comes to SIU from the University of Akron where he was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference performer in the pole vault and a 2006 all-conference honoree in the javelin.

The 2005-06 men's track and field team captain assisted with the women's vault program at Akron and was also a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Council.
