At SIU: Provisionally qualified in the 400-meter in both 2004 and 2005...qualified for the NCAA Indoor Nationals in 2004, but did not compete due to injury...all-MVC Indoor pick in 2002 and 2003, and all-MVC Outdoor selection in 2003 and 2005...garnered individual titles in the 200m and 400m at the 2003 MVC Outdoor Championships, where he set stadium and conference records...also qualified for the NCAA National Championships in the 400-meter that season...became the school's record holder in the indoor 200m with a 21.24 mark in 2004...ranks fourth all-time in school history in both the indoor and outdoor 400m.

Pre-SIU: Two-time all-conference and all-state selection at Thornton High School...qualified for state competition on three occasions...received All-American honors in the Junior Olympics in the 800-meter run as a sophomore.
