As the University embarks on Southern at 150: Building Excellence through Commitment, athletics maintains an extremely vital and important role. While acknowledging that a successful athletic program serves as a beacon for university support and pride, the Southern at 150 plan affirms the relationship between athletics and the university's academic mission.
To best achieve our mission the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund will be reorganized with new giving levels and perquisites introduced. In addition, a new priority point program will be initiated. Both of these improvements should assist the donor in receiving proper recognition and help the department fulfill its scholarship obligations. The emphasis on donating to the scholarship fund focuses our efforts on an issue that all supporters can appreciate, namely assisting with providing our student-athletes the best education possible.
