Mark Scally was named Assistant Athletics Director (Business) at Southern Illinois University in September 2001, and Associate Athletic Director (Finance) in 2007.

As the Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all Athletic Department and SIU Arena business operations including Accounting and Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Budgeting and Fiscal Planning, Clerical Support, Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, Purchasing, and Ticket Office Operations.

Additionally, he coordinates all regular season competition travel for Football, and post-season NCAA travel for Football and Men's Basketball. Along with a new title in 2007 came sports supervision, adding Women's Softball to his area of responsibility.

Prior to joining the Athletics staff at SIU, Scally was a Budget Analyst in the Budget Office on the SIUC Campus from 1992 to 2001. He holds 2 degrees from SIU a Bachelor of Science (Accounting 1991) and Master of Accountancy (1992).

Mark and his wife Beth have two children, Kristy and Sean and when not at Saluki events, they can usually be found at youth soccer, softball, baseball, basketball and volleyball games in and around Carbondale.
