Meredith Hayes opened the outdoor season with an NCAA regional qualifying mark in the 100-meter hurdles. She won the event at the SIU Spring Classic with a personal-best time of 13.80, ranking her first in the Missouri Valley Conference this season. Hayes also ran the second leg of the winning 4x100-meter relay team which turned in a time of 47.41.
